Senior Designer
John’s Role: John joined the company in 2011 as senior designer, his main tools are Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash he also has good knowledge of 3D software.
The creative member of the team, John uses a client’s input and design brief to conceptualise and execute web site designs that will advance their ideas and business.
Background: Having been passionate about the web from a young age John designed and built his first website for a local company, in 1999, whilst still at school.
John then went on to earn a degree in BSc Interactive Multimedia at the University of Sunderland. Upon graduating in 2005 he worked freelance and full time as a graphic designer and website designer for a number of design companies around the North East.
Biggest challenge to date: “My biggest challenge is multi-tasking. As the company continues to win new projects, my workload piles up! Whilst this is an exciting prospect and a task which I love to tackle – managing my time can be challenging!”
Hobbies: John is a keen runner and can often be found maintaining his fitness. John is also an avid photographer.
Opinion on the future of the web: “Over 25% of all web traffic comes from mobile phones; I believe this is only going to continue to grow. From a design perspective this will entail a heavy focus on responsive design and ensuring that all websites we create are mobile optimised.”
